Our Pre-Assessment department at Chichester Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Pre-Assessment Administrator. As the main contact in the department you’re responsible for assisting patients and ensuring they have the information they need. Providing effective and efficient administration the role supports the Pre-Assessment Team in the day-to-day running of the department
As our Pre-Assessment Administrator you will:
1. Respond promptly to patient queries via phone and email liaising with clinical staff as necessary
2. Coordinate pre-assessment and anaesthetic clinics, including booking and rescheduling appointments and preparing patient packs.
3. Supporting clinical team to effectively manage staffing levels by opening and closing clinics
4. Maximise theatre capacity by managing patient completed pre-assessment list
5. Updating shared database to ensure surgical dates are accurate
6. Uploading clinical documents to the patient’s electronic record accurately
7. Ensuring patient documents have been reviewed by clinical staff
8. Providing administration support to the clinical team
9. Responsible for managing and updating clinic forms
10. Liaise with the Bookings, Theatre, Ward teams and Medical Secretaries to facilitate a smooth journey for the patient
