Job Description:
A renowned veterinary practice, based in the heart of Newcastle, is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. The practice offers a rewarding and varied caseload in a supportive environment, providing round-the-clock care for a wide range of animals.
The Hours:
The position is full-time, working 35 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
The role may require work at any of the practice's seven branch surgeries and the Hospital site, including night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays on a shared rota.
Weekends and OOHS:
The weekend cover where available to work should the member of staff on the rota be unable to due to illness, etc. (including night shifts), approximately 1:16 = 3 or 4 per calendar year.
Weekend and Monday Night shifts on a shared rota at the Gosforth hospital with time back in lieu:
Monday night, 7.30 pm - 8 am - approximately 3 per calendar year.
Weekend nights, 7.30 pm - 8 am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night consecutively with the Friday and the following Monday to Friday (6 days) off in lieu - approximately 3 per calendar year.

Deliver high-quality care to a wide range of animals
Work collaboratively within a large team of dedicated staff members
Participate in a shared rota for night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays
Candidate Requirements:
Registered Veterinary Nurse qualification
Driving licence and own transport
Competitive salary, adjusted according to experience
4 weeks' annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing with every 5 years of service
1 additional day holiday for your birthday, following 1 year of service
