Dow has an exciting job opportunity as an Associate Analytical Technician located in Croydon, PA.
About you and this role - What you will do in this role
As the Associate Analytical Technician, you will support manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses, as needed, which provide critical data. You will prepare samples, perform preventive maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and use data systems to acquire data. You will also report results to the client. This role requires established basic laboratory skills to perform a range of routine lab activities using existing standard operating procedures and/or analytical/ scientific methods.
Responsibilities- Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role
1. Trains to perform routine analyses under direction of senior team member until proficiency is demonstrated.
2. Collects samples according to the Sample Plan.
3. Performs basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
4. Provides evaluation of validity of data for routine analyses and takes appropriate action.
5. Monitors analytical systems and escalates problems as appropriate.
6. Documents, communicates and archives analytical results and data.
7. Follows Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) and operating discipline management system (ODMS) procedures and practices for work tasks.
8. Suggests improvements to lab work processes and tools.
9. Escalates non-routine requests to appropriate team member for follow-up.
10. Performs lab housekeeping such as restocking lab inventory and cleaning
11. Must be willing and able to work overtime.
Qualifications - Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)
12. A minimum of High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
13. Must be 18 years old or older.
14. Must be willing to work weekends, and holidays, if required.
15. Must be willing to work overtime (extra hours beyond your regular scheduled) if required.
16. A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

17. An Associate’s Degree or higher in a Science related field.
18. 1-2 years of experience in working with analytical lab equipment (in education or work setting).
Your Skills:
19. Laboratory Techniques: Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques (gravimetric, volumetric, and temperature measurements, etc.).
20. Computer Skills: Software experience in Outlook, Excel, SAP, Sample Manager, Operations Database (OPD), and Management of Change (MOC) is preferred.
21. Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot analytical equipment to drive resolution to unplanned equipment issues.
22. Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work: The individual must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment, and react quickly to evolving and dynamic production scheduling situations, with minimum supervision. As well as work independently with excellent time management and judgment in prioritization skills, as the requirements of the business may cause frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
23. Multitasking: Complete multiple tasks and see them through completion.
24. Collaboration: Ability to properly communicate, work constructively and positively, with peers and co-workers, including working collaboratively and effectively in team, department, or other work group situations.
25. Attention to Detail: Must be able to follow written and oral instructions as this position requires the ability to learn multiple analytical techniques, work with close attention to detail, and multi-task effectively.
