Location: Ufford, Woodbridge, Suffolk IP13 6ET. Salary: Year 1 - £8.47 per hour; Year 2+ - £11.44 per hour. Hours: 40 hours per week. Contract: Fixed term apprenticeship for 3 years.

What you will be doing (Responsibilities)
* Join the Fleet Maintenance team as an HGV Mechanic Apprentice and work closely with qualified mechanics.
* Assist with repairs, MOTs and scheduled maintenance for company-owned and private vehicles, ensuring they are safe for use.
* Assist with accurate completion of documentation and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
* Operate workshop equipment such as hydraulic and lifting equipment, welding and abrasive wheels grinders in accordance with Safe Working Practices (full training provided).
What you will gain / What you will need (Qualifications)
* A fully funded and supported Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Level 3) apprenticeship qualification.
* A keen interest in learning about vehicle mechanics, good practical problem-solving skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and good teamwork.
* Entry onto the apprenticeship requires 4 GCSEs including Maths and English at 9-3/A-E or Functional Skills Level 1.
