Why be a Retail Sales & Operations Manager at THG Beauty?
The Store Retail team is responsible for the end‑to‑end planning, management, and operations of our stand‑alone stores, ensuring we offer the best customer experience while supporting the business strategy. This role is a maternity cover opportunity across a 9‑month period.
The Role
The Retail Sales & Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in LOOKFANTASTIC’s exciting growth journey, overseeing both current and future stores across the UK. The role is responsible for managing day‑to‑day operations across multiple retail locations, leading Store Managers, driving sales and KPI performance, and maintaining strong brand relationships. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced retail leader to shape the success of our expanding store portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily operations across assigned retail stores to ensure efficiency, consistency, and excellence in execution.
* Maintain clear and consistent communication with store teams to support operational goals and resolve issues promptly.
* Set targets and KPI’s and take accountability for stores achieving these goals.
* Develop and implement action plans to improve sales performance, productivity, and profitability.
* Recruit, onboard, train, and develop high‑performing store managers and retail teams.
* Coach and mentor store leadership to build strong succession plans and career pathways.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and high‑performance work environment.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop and execute retail strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
* Work closely with new store openings and refits as required.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with brand partners for effective day‑to‑day communication.
* Work closely with internal teams to effectively execute new launches, brand changes, promotions and initiatives in a timely manner.
* Work with internal teams and brands to create a strong in‑store activation plan per location.
* Manage brand education relationships to ensure training needs are met for the in‑store teams.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 years in an Area/Regional Manager or Department Manager role.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in retail management.
* Experience working in beauty retail is essential.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Ability to drive sales & KPI performance.
* Organised, self‑motivated and a key team player.
* Time‑keeping to ensure deadlines are met.
* Attention to detail.
* Problem solver.
* Positive attitude.
* Flexible in order to meet the needs of a new and developing team.
* Microsoft packages, specifically Excel.
* Strong communication skills.
* Ability to travel across the UK, with frequency increasing as stores open.
