Description
To undertake the day-to-day management and coordination of all Circuit Safety Team activities, including ensuring routine inspections are carried out, allocating resources, training and implementation, review of SOPs and Risk Assessments. To act as an operational emergency command for the Circuit Safety Team and to coordinate and/or manage Race Control as required. To be an operational hands-on role reporting back findings and solutions involved in all track-related matters to the Head of Safety & Circuit Manager. Ensuring the circuit operates to the highest standards and is prepared for all operational requirements and emergencies.

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the safe running of events on the Silverstone circuit, adhering to ‘Standard Operating Procedures’
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the Circuit Safety team, including recruitment, onboarding, and training
* Review and update all related Policies, SOPs, Risk Assessments, and training programs annually and as needed
* Deliver and record training for the team, ensuring SOPs and Risk Assessments are well communicated
* Conduct daily checks of Safety Vehicles and Equipment as per ‘Start of Day Checklist’
* Maintain equipment logs, ensure equipment is in good condition, and train the team on its use
* Work with the Head of Safety to set and manage budgets, ensuring departmental spending remains within limits
* Handle administrative duties, including shift scheduling and reporting
* Attend operational and event meetings, liaising with internal stakeholders
* Coordinate with Contractors for maintenance and repairs
* Oversee activities related to Noise Monitoring, Race Control, Lights & Logging, and daily circuit safety duties

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills, capable of working under pressure
* Ability to remain calm and take control in stressful situations
* Background in Fire and Rescue or Circuit Safety Marshalling preferred
* Fire and Rescue Training desirable
* First Aid qualification is essential
* Valid driving license is essential
