Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey with Sysco International? As part of the Sysco family, we are experiencing a transformative period of growth, and we’re looking for a passionate UK Tax Analyst to join our International Financial Control team on a full-time, permanent basis.
In this dynamic role, you will report directly to the European Tax Manager and play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting while maintaining compliance with HMRC and SOX. You’ll be the go-to partner for the UK business on all tax matters, collaborating cross-functionally and providing essential support to ensure precise tax reporting.
This position offers the autonomy to shape internal policies and procedures, manage tax risks, and stay ahead of changes in UK tax legislation. You’ll have the opportunity to present insights and solutions to the European Tax Manager, making a real impact on our operations.

This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work at our Brakes office in Ashford, Kent once a week for team collaboration. Flexibility for occasional travel is also a must, so being within a commutable distance is essential.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Manage UK VAT group processes to ensure timely and accurate VAT return submissions, providing VAT advice as needed.
* Continuously review VAT processes and controls to minimize risk.
* Support the European Tax Manager with the UK annual tax compliance process, preparing documentation for external advisors.
* Conduct capital allowance analysis for new site acquisitions or major improvements.
* Complete the UK annual corporate tax provision and statutory notes for group audits.
* Assist with the UK Deferred tax process and prepare necessary supporting documents.
* Manage the preparation and submission of the Annual PSA return, SAO Certificate, UK PPT returns, and EU VAT Re-claims.
* Prepare quarterly tax submissions for Sysco US, including quarterly reconciliations.
* Review reported tax balances on a monthly basis.
* Assist the Sysco US tax team in collecting annual related party information from UK subsidiaries.
What We’re Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should be newly qualified in CTA or ACA with a solid understanding of VAT and Corporation Tax. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to join a global organization on a path of transformation and modernization. Your attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness will be key in avoiding errors in financial information.
Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is ideal, along with exceptional planning, organization, and prioritization skills. You’ll be partnering with stakeholders across GB and the EU, so strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships are essential.
