Introduction
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in North Yorkshire Council. We are excited to present the role of Assistant Director Transformation, also known as Programme Director.
Background
In April 2023, eight councils serving North Yorkshire unified, creating the largest council geographically and the third largest unitary authority in the country. Last year, the York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority was established, along with a newly elected Mayor.
Celebrating two years of the new Council, we are at an exciting stage of our change programme. Having successfully delivered local government reform and secured a devolution deal, we are moving beyond the initial phases into an ambitious transformation phase focused on leveraging data, technology, and innovation to improve services and outcomes.

The Role
