A client within the Public Sector based in Hampshire is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their Property Services Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, permenant position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority in a property surveying / building maintenance environment.
Key purpose of the role is to provide property surveying services across the Homecare directorate, supporting the wider organisation by identifying maintenance issues, producing solutions, and project-managing both minor and major works.
Inspecting and assessing repair requests and property defects, providing clear technical solutions.
• Investigating building defects and disrepair cases, producing accurate Housing Conditions reports.
• Providing technical support to operational teams, contractors, and consultants to guide maintenance decisions.
• Supporting planned maintenance programmes through property inspections and component assessments.
A relevant degree, HND/HNC in Building Surveying or a construction-related qualification.
• Experience in building maintenance or building surveying.
• A full driving licence and access to transport (or ability to travel efficiently).
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads, and demonstrate commercial awareness.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Office and maintenance-management software.
