Protocol Education is working with numerous secondary schools in the area that are seeking Trainee Teachers. These roles offer a year of experience before potentially joining their SCITT programme to gain QTS and start a teaching role immediately.
If you're interested in teaching but not ready for a PGCE year, you can register as a trainee teacher to experience secondary school life firsthand. You'll work alongside teachers in classrooms, small groups, and on a one-to-one basis, covering classes in the absence of a teacher.
Requirements to become a Trainee Teacher
* A genuine passion for education
* Previous experience working with children
This role lasts for an academic year, allowing both you and the school to assess suitability before committing to your training year to gain QTS. Schools are actively interviewing now.

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanence later.
