The team

We are currently looking to add a talented Solicitor to our leading Medical Negligence team to be based in the North West working out of our Manchester and/or Liverpool offices (hybrid working).

As the leading clinical and medical negligence law firm in the UK, we know how to make a positive difference to our client’s lives. Our experienced medical negligence solicitors take the time to understand what clients are going through, helping them get the answers and compensation they deserve.

Our clinical negligence team has extensive experience in clinical negligence claims including but not limited to obstetric, neonatal, anaesthetic, neurosurgical, cardiac, oncology and psychiatric care.

Your Role and What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be joining our top rated Legal 500 ranked North West Clinical Negligence team. The team is known for its outstanding expertise in handling complex and high-value clinical negligence claims. Their collective experience covers birth injuries, spinal cord injuries, cancer misdiagnosis, orthopaedic negligence, fatal claims, and psychiatric injuries. The team is deeply committed to securing justice for clients, delivering a compassionate and client-focused approach throughout every case.

As a key member of the team, you’ll play a vital role in managing complex clinical negligence cases and supporting clients through some of the most challenging times in their lives. You’ll be involved in:

* Managing your own caseload, including litigated matters, with a focus on securing interim payments to support rehabilitation and care needs early in the process.
* Assisting senior colleagues on high-value and complex claims across a wide range of medical disciplines including obstetrics, neurosurgery, oncology, and psychiatric care.
* Delivering consistently accurate and compassionate legal advice, ensuring clients feel supported and informed throughout their journey.

Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to deliver a seamless and high-quality service.


About You

We’re looking for someone who combines technical excellence with genuine empathy:

* 1+ years PQE in Clinical Negligence, with a strong background in Claimant work.
* Proven experience managing your own caseload, including litigated claims.
* A passion for clinical negligence claims and for securing the best outcomes for clients and improving their quality of life.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with empathy and integrity.
* Experience supervising junior team members and contributing to their growth.
* Commercially aware, with a proactive approach to business development and client relationship management.
* Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
