Job Title: Mechanical Quality Inspector

Position Overview: We are seeking a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join our team at Hinkley Point C.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans, and supporting QA documentation.
2. Provide technical support related to quality for projects and maintenance activities.
3. Review vendor and supplier Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.
4. Liaise with Welding Engineers and Project Engineers regarding documentation and QA requirements.
5. Coordinate guidance on material certification, welding, NDT, and other quality standards.
6. Manage the QA/QC Engineering functions within M, E & I disciplines for BP FPS.
7. Liaise with third-party inspectors and coordinate inspection activities.
8. Raise Continuous Improvement Forms (CIFs) and collaborate with client QA departments.
9. Maintain all quality documentation and records within the company's CMS.
10. Monitor and review quality performance against KPIs.
11. Contribute to the company's technical improvements and capabilities.
12. Conduct internal and external quality audits.
13. Support a strong workshop HSE culture.
Experience and Qualifications:
* Strong engineering and QA/QC background.
* Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
* Experience in developing and reviewing project QA documentation.
* Familiarity with KPIs and performance monitoring techniques.
* Ability to read isometric drawings and understand pipe standards and specifications.
* Radiographic interpretation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Understanding of fabrication, welding, and NDT techniques.
* Good communication and report-writing skills.
Role Qualifications:
* CSWIP Level 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector.
* PCN Level 2 Radiographic Interpretation.
* Recognized Internal Auditor qualification.
* ONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering (Desirable).
* Member of Chartered Quality Institute (Desirable).
WIMS Requirements:
* Recognized Engineering Qualification (ONC / BTEC / C&G).
* JB15A / A Associate Diploma of Engineering and Advanced Certificate in Engineering.
Mandatory: CCNSG certification.
