The role ensures all cleaning activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, client requirements, and health and safety regulations.The position supports the wider facilities team in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment for staff, visitors, and customers.Key ResponsibilitiesCleaning & Service DeliveryClean designated areas to the required standards, including routine, weekly and periodic tasks.Ensure all work is completed efficiently and within allocated timeframes.Maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation across all areas.Health, Safety & ComplianceUse cleaning chemicals and materials safely in accordance withCOSHH regulations.Follow all health, safety, fire, and hygiene procedures.Use safety signage where required (e.g. wet floor signs).Report hazards, incidents, or faulty equipment to the supervisor or manager.Equipment & MaterialsSafely operate cleaning equipment following appropriate training.Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.Monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies are low.Ensure cleaning stores are kept clean, organised, and secure.Team & Operational SupportCommunicate effectively with the Cleaning Manager and team members.Attend training sessions and team meetings when required.Provide cover for colleagues during absences or holidays where needed.Follow all site rules, company policies, and procedures.Key AccountabilitiesConsistently high cleaning standards across all assigned areas.Compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations including COSHH.Positive feedback from clients, customers, and site users.Effective time management and flexibility to meet operational needs.Person SpecificationExperiencePrevious cleaning experience preferred.Experience working in a team environment.Experience working within standards or compliance-based environments.KnowledgeBasic knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.Understanding of health and safety procedures.SkillsGood communication and teamwork skills.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Commitment to delivering high standards of service.Why Sodexo?Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.Belongin a company and team that values you for you.
