Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a small, specialist provision supporting pupils with additional needs.
This is a highly rewarding role working closely with an individual pupil, providing consistent support both academically and emotionally within a structured, trauma-informed environment.
The Role
* Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism and SEMH needs
* Support engagement in lessons and adapt learning activities where required
* Promote emotional regulation, wellbeing, and positive behaviour
* Work closely with the class teacher and wider team to deliver personalised support
* Help create a calm, safe, and consistent learning environment
* Support with transitions, routines, and relationship building
Hours can be discussed, with both part-time and full-time options considered.

The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs (education or care background considered)
* Demonstrate a calm, patient, and nurturing approach
* Have an understanding of, or willingness to learn, trauma-informed practice
* Be resilient, adaptable, and able to build strong relationships
* Be committed to supporting both the academic and emotional development of pupils
