Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified SLT clinician or an SLT clinician looking to work within the Community Specialist Health Team as part of the Adult Learning Disability Service. The post holder will join the experienced SLT team to deliver assessments and intervention sessions to patients with a learning disability, living in their own homes. The post holder will cover areas from Southend, Castlepoint, Rochford, Basildon, Brentwood and Thurrock, so a car driver is essential.
Main duties of the job
* To assess, develop and implement Speech and Language Therapy Treatments to adults with learning disabilities.
* To be involved in the development and implementation of inclusive communication within South Essex.
* To contribute Speech and Language Therapy advice to positive behaviour management plans in the community.
* To be an active member of the team.
