Job Title: 2D AutoCAD Technician (Electrical)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced 2D AutoCAD Technician to support the production of electrical drawings and models for a Transport for London (TfL) infrastructure project. The role involves working closely with engineers and project teams to deliver accurate, compliant electrical design outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and amend 2D AutoCAD electrical drawings in line with TfL standards
Develop electrical layouts, schematics, containment, lighting, power and earthing drawings
Ensure drawings comply with TfL, LU and relevant British Standards
Incorporate design comments, site survey information and red-line mark-ups
Maintain drawing registers, revisions and document control procedures
Liaise with engineers, designers and construction teams as required
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience using AutoCAD (2D) on electrical design projects
Previous experience working on TfL / London Underground or similar rail infrastructure projects
Good understanding of electrical systems within rail or large infrastructure environments
Familiarity with TfL CAD standards, layering conventions and drawing procedures
Strong attention to detail and ability to work to programme deadlines
