As they scale, they need a visionary Head of Social / Social Media Director to lead their social media function, elevate their brand presence, and inspire a high-performing team. This is a senior leadership role for a strategic thinker who lives and breathes social, understands evolving digital ecosystems, and drives creative innovation at scale.
What You’ll Do
* Define and execute the overarching social media strategy aligned with business goals and brand vision.
* Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of social media managers, content creators, and community specialists.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, design, PR, and analytics teams to create integrated social campaigns.
* Own the social calendar, ensuring content aligns with product launches, events, and cultural moments that resonate with target audiences.
* Pioneer innovation by testing emerging platforms, tools, and formats to keep us ahead of trends.
* Oversee paid social media strategy and budget allocation in partnership with media teams.
* Use data and analytics to set benchmarks, measure ROI, and optimise performance.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers, creators, and brand ambassadors.
* Serve as the social media thought leader within the company, educating executives and stakeholders on best practices and emerging opportunities.
Who You Are
* 8+ years of social media experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role, ideally in creative, tech, or agency settings.
* Strategic mindset with a passion for creative innovation and storytelling.
* Proven experience managing and scaling social teams.
* Deep knowledge of platform algorithms, social trends, and audience behaviour across major social channels.
* Strong understanding of paid social media and how it integrates with organic strategies.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Comfortable presenting to C-suite and collaborating with senior leaders.
* Data-driven with a knack for turning insights into action.
