* Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a motivated and experienced engineer with a strong work ethic, previous experience servicing and repairing mist & sprinkler systems, and working with retro-fits and other commercial buildings. You should be an excellent communicator, take pride in your work, and be comfortable with travel and overnight stays.
Key Skills
* Ability to confidently perform commissioning checks on water tanks of various sizes
* Knowledge of relevant standards such as BS 9251
* Ability to survey buildings and determine necessary modifications for compliance
* Understanding of operating and servicing sprinkler systems
* Knowledge of electrical wiring, pipe and hose fitting, plumbing works
* Strong customer engagement skills
* Interest in further training and working with complex mist and sprinkler systems
* Welding experience is desirable but not essential
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* High attention to detail
* Proactive problem-solving skills
* Experience with safe use of handheld tools and equipment
* Basic IT skills, including report writing
Key Responsibilities
* Servicing and maintaining sprinkler systems across commercial buildings
* Diagnosing faults, reporting, and undertaking repairs
* Ensuring safety and quality standards
* Traveling to client sites, completing site inductions and risk assessments
* Monitoring stock, reporting, and stocktaking
* Maintaining personal equipment and vehicle
