The Governors of Gresham’s School invite applications for the Head of Gresham’s Prep School – an inspiring leadership role at a time of transformative investment and opportunity.
Founded in 1555 and located in the heart of North Norfolk, Gresham’s is a thriving co-educational school set across 300 acres of countryside, just minutes from award-winning beaches and areas of natural beauty. Our Prep School currently educates around 250 pupils aged 7 to 13, with boarding playing a central role in school life.
In the next two years, Gresham’s Prep will move to a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility on the new Dyson Campus – an 86-acre site adjacent to the Senior School, generously supported by Sir James Dyson. This exciting £40 million development will offer unparalleled opportunities for educational innovation and excellence.
The next Head will be an inspirational and forward-thinking leader with the vision and expertise to guide the Prep School through this pivotal moment. They will play a central role in shaping a dynamic, nurturing and ambitious culture, while building on the school’s outstanding reputation for pastoral care, academic strength and breadth of opportunity.
We are seeking a candidate with:
* A proven track record of successful leadership, ideally within a prep or boarding school environment.
* Strategic insight and financial acumen to manage a £4 million budget and contribute to whole-school planning.
* Warmth, integrity and a collaborative spirit, with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
* A deep commitment to safeguarding, child protection and regulatory best practice.
The Head will report to the Head of Gresham’s School and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Governors. They will lead a talented and committed staff, overseeing the day-to-day life of the Prep School while championing the school’s values and Christian foundation.
