Position

We are currently seeking a Technical Sales to join our CAREL UK Subsidiary located in Chessington. The position offers an office-based work model.


The Technical Support Engineer will reinforce the sales and technical development process with the leading HVAC-R OEM manufacturers, customers, end users, and engineers on site. The key task will be to support the implementation, by key manufacturers of heat pumps and ventilation units, of the high-efficiency solutions provided by CAREL, with a particular focus on compressor variable speed drives, natural refrigerants, and advanced connectivity.

The Sales Engineer will also create offers for regulation systems with the integration of electrical panels.



Main responsibilities and actions:


1. Identifies suspects and develops and grows the sales funnel (Finds, Wins, Retains) from Suspect to Prospect to Customer
2. Seeks opportunities, secures commitment and loyalty from customers, and wins identified business revenues
3. Establishes and maintains productive, professional relationships with key decision makers and influencers
4. Supports customers with application, selection support
5. Engages with and attends regular customer meetings, solely and/or with colleagues, as required
6. Regularly communicates with customers, manages need for customer meetings and liaises with external sales teams
7. Presents the range of CAREL products, solutions and services that fit the key growth drivers of the defined market
8. Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs
9. Ensures sufficient UK inventory profile is aligned with customers’ needs and market demands
10. Provides Customers with pre-sales, post-sales, and project application support
11. Prepares solution and application based proposals and offers using the relevant selection & specification tools and platforms
12. Manages the project pipeline
13. Provides and presents products, solutions and application education and advice
14. Gathers product and market information and prepares analysis
15. Liaises with the supply chain team
16. Creates and maintains Customer records in CAREL CRM systems
17. Identifies new business potential and opportunities
18. Attends associated and relevant trade exhibitions, conferencesand meetings
19. Achieves the Quality Standards and KPI targets to ensure continual development
20. Contributes towards the continual improvement of LEAN and 5$
21. Works with other sales and technical colleagues to meet customer needs

Requirements

22. Proven track record in technical/application sales
23. Technical awareness of Refrigeration/HVAC applications
24. Commercial awareness of REFR/HVAC market
25. Knowledge of refrigeration solutions, particularly CO2 food retail and food service solutions, cold chain supply, industrial refrigeration and associated controls and IOT solutions, field and digital services.
26. Knowledge of thermodynamics, psychrometric processes, airside heat recovery, within commercial, industrial and data centre applications.
27. Direct Sales experience in a B2B sales environment
28. Account management & business development
29. Execution of Strategic, Operational, and Corrective Plans
30. Communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
31. Team working enthusiasm, "hands-on” approach
32. Good attitude in relationship and communication with colleagues, sales network, and customers
