A leading UK law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Property Paralegalto join its London office, supporting a busy team handling high-value residential property transactions.
This opportunity is suited to a paralegal currently working within a reputable firm on London residential property matters and looking to progress their career within a well-regarded and supportive team environment.
The Role
You will act as a key link between clients and fee earners, supporting residential conveyancing transactions while developing towards managing your own supervised caseload.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist fee earners with running residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
* Draft legal documentation using precedents and templates in line with client instructions
* Prepare SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications, dealing with post-completion queries and monitoring application progress
* Use lender and case management portals to update transaction progress
* Undertake legal research and elevate issues where necessary
* Deliver high standards of client service throughout transactions
* Ensure compliance with risk management, AML, confidentiality, and data protection requirements
* Assist with file opening procedures and general file management
* Undertake administrative duties associated with residential property transactions
Business Development & Team Contribution
* Support fee earners with marketing and business development activity
* Assist with maintaining client information within CRM systems
* Build relationships with agents and other third parties under supervision
Operational Responsibilities
* Record time accurately and work towards agreed fee earning targets
* Contribute ideas to improve team efficiency and processes
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience as a Residential Property Paralegal is essential
* Experience handling high-value London residential property transactions is strongly preferred
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and case management systems
