Time’s the one thing you can’t get back — don’t let your job take too much of it.
If you value a certain lifestyle or have kids you want to give more of yourself, then there's a couple of ways to fix your situation. The best way, that doesn’t involve giving up a career altogether. It’s getting a job with an employer that lets you work however, wherever, whenever, and never pushes you to do overtime.
If you worked here, you’d have that, without sacrificing any money or progression. Firstly, there’s no reason to be in the office more than one day per week. The team all come in together on the same day, then mostly go their own ways for the rest of the week.
Secondly you’ll also find that because they’ve intentionally set up small regions you won’t be travelling up and down the country, and sacrificing personal time. Every site will be quite nearby. You’ll be home in time for tea when, even when you’re out and about.
It'll always be assumed that you're a professional who knows how to look after your workload, so you won't ever feel like you're under a microscope, or pressured to sacrifice for the company here.
In fact they respect your time so much, that for every three RBI’s they hire one admin, so you can do more of what’s important, and worry less about little details.
From day one 2% - 3% of your salary is given every quarter as a bonus. That’s about £5000 annually in addition to your salary. It’ll easily pay those holiday installments, or a mortgage off 12 years early without you dipping into your usual salary.
You’ll even work at an employer that recognises there are shortages in this industry, so you can access BSR approved training in house, whenever you need to. Moving up the classes and into higher salary brackets benefits them, even more than it benefits you.
More time, more money, better prospects.
What you’ll do
* Focus on delivering site inspections and other advisory / consultancy services in the region
* Plan checking, advising and reporting.
* There’s also an option to get involved in building regulations consultancy and advisory if that interests you.
What you’ll need
* BSR Registered Class 2E, 2F or 3.
* Experience working directly with / advising clients.
* Confident reading plans and carrying out site inspections
* You don't need to already be management level or an Associate to get this job.
