Business Development Manager - Commercial Solar Sector\n\nLocation: Central UK (Preferred locations include Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Coventry, and surrounding areas)\n\nSalary: Up to £60,000 base with OTE circa £150,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)\n\nWho you'll be working for: Join a fast-growing employer with a 40-year history of providing innovative solutions to the UK's energy challenges. Their mission is to drive the transition to sustainable energy and create a greener future.\n\nThe Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team in the large-scale Commercial Solar sector.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in negotiating deals of 1MW+ in the industrial and commercial sector. You will play a key role in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and closing high-value deals.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial solar sector.\n\n * Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers.\n\n * Negotiate and close deals of 1MW+ in the industrial and commercial sector.\n\n * Provide expert knowledge on solar PV, voltage optimisation, and power purchase agreements (PPA).\n\n * Collaborate with the technical and project management teams to ensure successful project delivery.\n\n * Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Proven experience in business development within the commercial solar sector.\n\n * Strong knowledge of solar PV, voltage optimisation, and power purchase agreements (PPA).\n\n * Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close high-value deals (1MW+).\n\n * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.\n\n * Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.\n\n * Willingness to travel within the central UK region.\n\nPreferred Locations:\n\n * Birmingham\n\n * Nottingham\n\n * Leicester\n\n * Coventry\n\n * Surrounding areas\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\n * Competitive base salary up to £60,000.\n\n * Attractive OTE circa £150,000 per annum.\n\n * Opportunity to work with a leading company in the renewable energy sector.\n\n * Career growth and development opportunities.\n\n * Supportive and collaborative work environment.\n\nHow to Apply: If you are passionate about renewable energy and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.
