Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Probate Manager, you will be entrusted with a range of duties, including:
* Client Interaction: Work closely with Partners, Directors, and clients, providing your expertise from initial consultations to the resolution of complex cases.
* Case Management: Handle a diverse caseload involving both taxable and non‑taxable estates, from valuation to final distribution.
* Inheritance Tax Mastery: Prepare all necessary Inheritance Tax forms and advise on allowances, ensuring clients receive knowledgeable guidance tailored to their circumstances.
* Probate Administration: Oversee the application process for grants of probate and coordinate effectively with HMRC, HMCTS, and third parties as necessary.
* Financial Stewardship: Ensure meticulous maintenance and preparation of estate accounts and, if applicable, the preparation of estate tax returns and beneficiary statements.
* Strategic Collaboration: Partner with executors and in‑house teams to manage the collection, liquidation, and distribution of estate assets and liabilities.
