Job Summary
The role of a Kitchen Assistant/ Cook involves a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the café kitchen.
Here are some of the key duties and skills for this position:
* Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients
* Using equipment such as mixers, kitchen utensils and all catering equipment including grill
* Checking expiry dates and rotating food stock
* Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans
* Observing cooking times and correct temperatures
* Support the kitchen team: assisting with washing dishes and ensuring the kitchen is clean and hygienic
* Helping front-of-house if needed
* Must possess culinary skills – strong understanding of cooking techniques & food preparation
* Ensure that dishes are prepared accurately & presented well so attentaion to details is essential
* Completing paperwork on the Supervisor's day off
The successful candidate is expected to be reliable, efficient & ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Pay: £12.21-£12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 12.0 per week
