Location: Shildon, County Durham
Start Date: 2nd June
Hours: Full-time, term-time only
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils aged 5-7 in their learning and development. You'll work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, provide one-to-one and small group support, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Assisting with the delivery of the KS1 curriculum
* Supporting children with varying needs to reach their full potential
* Preparing resources and setting up classroom activities
* Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a love of learning
* Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and parents where appropriate
* Experience working with children in a school or early years setting
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent)
* A caring, patient, and enthusiastic nature
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* A genuine interest in helping children thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
