You'll beworking for a successful and well stablished consultancy based in Edinburgh,who are looking for an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join theirBuilding Services team. This consultancy works on a variety of projects acrossScotland's Central Belt as well as UK wide, operating across almost everysector, includingmercial, residential, Industrial, education and more.
Your new role
1. You will be starting as an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer, joining an already well-established team.
2. You will be given exposure to a number of New build and refurbishment projects onmercial, residential and emergency services buildings across Glasgow and Edinburgh.
3. You will have the opportunity to lead more junior engineers, assisting their development and ensuring the quality of their work.
4. You will be supported by a team of creative and experienced engineers.
5. Ensuring an understanding of project briefs. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems .
6. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, tels, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc.
7. Carry out (and managing of others), in the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Excel, Dialux, Amtech, CAD, Revit, etc.
8. Representing the organisation at meetings with clients and contractors.
9. Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.
10. Developing report and technical note writing.
11. Maintainingplete records and archives topany standards.
12. Adherence to all quality, environmental andernance processes.
What you'll need to succeed
13. Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
14. 3+ years of experience in Electrical design engineering on Building Services projects.
15. Strong knowledge of Electrical systems and building codes.
16. Excellentmunication and business development skills.
17. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
