Role Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of MEICA projects across the UK. Working closely with project teams, clients, subcontractors, and site personnel, the role involves overseeing engineering activities from planning and procurement through to installation, commissioning, and project completion.
This is a permanent role, contract cannot be considered at this time.
Candidates must have a UK Driving Licence and full RTW in the UK, sponsorship cannot be offered.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Coordination
Support the delivery of projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring agreed objectives, budgets, and programme requirements are achieved.
Assist project teams throughout pre-construction, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
Coordinate site activities and provide technical support to operatives, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Monitor project progress and help maintain effective communication between all stakeholders.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and other external parties as required. Commercial & Procurement Support
Assist with budget preparation and cost management activities.
Raise purchase orders and coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and plant within approved budgets.
Respond to technical queries during tendering and procurement stages.
Support the assessment and selection of subcontractors where required.
Ensure engineering and procurement activities remain aligned with contractual obligations. Quality, Compliance & Documentation
Maintain accurate site records and project documentation.
Collate information for health and safety files and project handover documentation.
Apply quality assurance processes to ensure works meet required specifications and standards.
Remain informed of current legislation, industry standards, and construction best practices.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement across project activities. Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and project partners.
Represent the company professionally at all times and contribute to maintaining its reputation within the industry.
Support clear communication across project teams to ensure effective delivery.

Additional Requirements
Occasional work outside normal business hours may be required.
Regular travel and attendance at project locations across the UK will be necessary.
A full UK driving licence is essential.

Minimum of five years' experience in a senior engineering or project engineering role within the Water and Wastewater sector.
Proven involvement in the delivery of projects typically valued between £500k and £5m.
Demonstrable experience supporting project delivery within a regulated utility or infrastructure environment.
Qualifications
Qualification in Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. (Civil Engineering may also be considered but candidates with a MEICA background are preferred)
