HGV Class 1 ADR Class 9 Tramper Driver – Brentwood (Temp to Perm)

Driver Hire Chelmsford & Harlow are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients based in Brentwood for an experienced HGV Class 1 ADR Class 9 Tramper Driver on a temp to perm basis.
The Role
1. Position: HGV Class 1 Driver (ADR Class 9 required)
2. Working Patterns: Monday to Friday (10-hour shifts, 4 nights out) or Sunday PM to Friday (5 nights out)
3. Vehicles: Modern Volvo & Scania sleeper cabs
4. Work Type: Skip / RoRo operations
Temp to Perm Package (First 12 Weeks)
5. Employed via Driver Hire for initial 12 weeks
6. Pay Rate: £18.50 per hour
7. Minimum: 10 hours paid per day
8. Night Out Allowance: £30 per night
Permanent Salary & Benefits (After 12 Weeks)
9. Base Salary: £43,609.17 per annum
Night Out Allowance
10. £55 per night (£28.80 taxable + £26.20 non-taxable)
11. Typical annual value: £11,440 – £14,300
Overtime Rates
12. £17.00/hour for first 10 overtime hours per week
13. £20.40/hour after 10 hours
14. Saturday: Minimum 4.5 hours at £20.40/hour (£91.80 minimum)
15. Sunday: Minimum 4.5 hours at £20.40/hour (£91.80 minimum) + £55 night out
Additional Allowances
16. £15 daily food allowance (approx. £3,900 per year)
17. £140 per job for out-of-hours call-outs
Earnings Potential
18. Average earnings with 4–5 nights out: ~£61,000 per year
19. With overtime and weekend work: £66,000 – £70,000+

Requirements
22. Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
23. ADR Licence (Class 9 essential)
24. Minimum 2 years HGV Class 1 driving experience
25. Must be aged 25 or over (insurance purposes)
26. No more than 6 penalty points
27. Previous tramping experience preferred
28. A professional and reliable attitude
