The Role
This is a rare opportunity for a Management Accountant to join Jigsaw24’s finance department during a period of modernisation and transformation. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will perform day-to-day accounting tasks while supporting a shift from a traditional approach to an innovative, commercially focused, insight-driven approach.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Finance Manager and Financial Controller to support department modernisation, including updating systems and processes.
* Identify, develop, and implement process improvements and reporting enhancements.
* Prepare month-end reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders.
* Provide departmental spend reporting and review variances of budgets and forecasts.
* Produce group financial reporting across multiple businesses.
* Support statutory audits and tax analysis.
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
* Manage working capital and treasury reporting.
* Oversee fixed asset capitalisation policies and reporting.
* Own overhead accruals and prepayments calculations.
* Account for rebates, exchange gains and losses across all finance transactions.
Skills & Experience
* Qualified Accountant, or qualified/working towards ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
* Strong technical ability with good attention to detail and communication skills.
* Experience with Dynamics 365 would be highly beneficial, but not essential.
* Experience in account reconciliation processes and variance analysis.
* Experience of services & support contract accounting, group consolidations and reporting.
* Proactive, positive attitude with ability to collaborate within a team.
* UK resident with unrestricted right to work in the UK; we cannot sponsor visas for overseas candidates.
* The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, process improvement experience, and stakeholder management; recently qualified with an audit background may thrive in this role.
