Band 7 – Specialist Pharmacist Cancer Services, full‑time (part‑time considered). Includes weekend and bank holiday commitment.
Main Duties
We look for a highly motivated, dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic pharmacist to join a friendly team of specialist clinical pharmacists and technical staff supporting cancer patients. You will develop your clinical skills in this fast‑moving speciality, following a training programme in line with The British Oncology Pharmacy Association standards. Your responsibilities include
* Providing clinical services to out‑patient clinics, in‑patient ward, local hospice and clinical trials at the Royal Stoke Cancer Centre and opportunities to work at the County site.
* Supporting the pharmacist‑reconciliation service for new SACT patients and SACT ACTs, freeing pharmacist time for further clinical services.
* Contributing to the development of prescribing clinics – encouraged to undertake training to become a non‑medical prescriber.
* Engaging in pharmacy practice research, audit, and participation in clinical trials where appropriate.
* Attending consultant ward rounds and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Person Specification
Essential
* Masters degree in Pharmacy (MPharm)
* Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* Completed a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma or is in the process of studying for one or has evidence of equivalent experience or training
* Independent Prescriber or eligibility and willingness to undertake training to become one
* Comprehensive clinical pharmacist practitioner experience across multiple specialties
* Recent experience in medicine and enthusiasm to specialise in oncology/haematology/palliative care
* Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD)
Desirable
* Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB)
* Member of the British Oncology Pharmacy Association
* Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certification
* Broad hospital pharmacy operational experience (technical services, MI, dispensary, clinical pharmacy)
* Knowledge of directorate pharmacy services
* Involvement in pharmacy practice research and/or audit
* Experience or knowledge of clinical trials
* Attendance on consultant ward rounds
* Previous experience in oncology or haematology speciality
