We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer with experience in electrical systems maintenance, fault diagnosis, and compliance oversight. This role also includes responsibilities as an LV appointed person, involving the safe management of electrical systems in accordance with relevant legislation and safety standards.
Main Duties:
* Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment across the facility.
* Diagnose faults in electrical systems, implement effective solutions, and carry out repairs.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and asset histories using PDA and CAFM systems.
* Assist with upgrades, modifications, and installations of electrical equipment and control systems.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives for energy efficiency, system reliability, and safety.
* Act as the designated LV Appointed Person for electrical systems.
* Liaise with contractors, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently.
* Be part of an out-of-hours callout rota (allowance paid).
Person Specification:
* The ideal candidate would have a background in facilities or mobile maintenance within the defense sector, or similar, and be qualified to either Level 2/3 City and Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and 18th edition and 2391 test and inspect.
* Experience in electrical planned and reactive maintenance.
* Experience in dealing with LV systems.
* Experience in working in an FM team.
* Strong customer care focus.
* Health and Safety awareness and knowledge.
* Full and Clean driving Licence.
* Able to work at heights.
* Smart in appearance.
* Able to process administration tasks associated with the role.
* Committed, reliable, and flexible.
* Able to work as part of a team and independently.
* High levels of communication skills.

* Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health, safety, or the environment.
* Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
* Report any issues or training needs to your line manager and/or via your divisional incident reporting system.
