Role Description Role Description The Broker Head of Trading (Personal Home) is responsible for optimising trading operations, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and driving business growth. You will oversee market analysis, managing performance, guiding distribution efforts, and coordinating cross-functional activities to enhance profitability and efficiency across our Personal Home Portfolio.
Salary Information Pay: Circa £85,000 per year. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
Key Accountabilities Performance vs Plan: Monitor trading activities against strategic plans and objectives
Performance vs Plan: Analyse performance metrics to ensure targets are met and identify areas for improvement
Performance vs Plan: Report on trading performance to senior management, providing insights and recommendations
Forecasting: Assess market conditions and internal capabilities
Forecasting: Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure forecasts are realistic and achievable
Forecasting: Adjust strategies as needed based on forecast analysis
Product Trading Strategy: Develop and implement trading strategies to maximise market penetration and profitability
Product Trading Strategy: Continuously evaluate and refine strategies based on market feedback and performance data
Guide Distribution on Target Opportunities: Ensure alignment between trading strategies and distribution efforts to optimise market reach
Opportunity Triage Coordination: Coordinate the assessment and prioritisation of trading opportunities
Opportunity Triage Coordination: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective response to market opportunities
Pricing, Underwriting & Bridge: Serve as a liaison between pricing, underwriting and distribution teams to cohesive strategies

Expense & Commission Ratio Management: Monitor and manage expense and commission ratios to ensure cost-effectiveness and profitability

Experience Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data sets, performance metrics, and market conditions to derive actionable insights and inform strategies

Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial performance metrics, expense/commission ratios, and cost management
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to report findings to senior management and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams (e.g., pricing, underwriting, distribution)
Negotiation & Influencing: Ability to serve as a liaison and align objectives among different departments
Problem-Solving: Skill in identifying areas for improvement, assessing market opportunities, and adjusting strategies as needed
