We are growing quickly and are now looking for a Technical Operations Manager to take full ownership of our delivery function.
This is a key leadership role within the business, with direct responsibility for ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.

The Role
You will take full responsibility for everything that happens after a sale is closed.
This includes managing projects from handover through to installation and commissioning, overseeing the installation team, and acting as the technical authority within the business.
You will be the main bridge between office and site, ensuring smooth delivery, strong communication, and excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
Project & Delivery Management
\t•\tTake full ownership of all projects post-sale
\t•\tManage project pipeline from survey to commissioning
\t•\tCoordinate scheduling of installation teams, scaffolding, and materials
\t•\tEnsure projects are delivered on time and within scope

Technical Oversight
\t•\tReview and validate solar PV system designs (OpenSolar)
\t•\tManage and oversee G98/G99 applications and DNO communications
\t•\tProvide technical support to installation teams
\t•\tEnsure all systems meet MCS and industry standards

Team Leadership
\t•\tManage and lead installation teams (roofers, electricians, apprentices)
\t•\tSet and maintain high installation and safety standards
\t•\tImprove team productivity and efficiency
\t•\tAct as the main point of contact for site-related issues

Operations Management
\t•\tOversee day-to-day operations of the delivery function
\t•\tWork closely with the Office Manager to coordinate scheduling and admin
\t•\tImplement and improve operational processes
\t•\tIdentify and resolve bottlenecks in delivery

Customer Experience
\t•\tOwn the post-sale customer journey
\t•\tEnsure clear and proactive communication with customers
\t•\tHandle escalations and resolve issues professionally
\t•\tDeliver a high-quality, premium customer experience

Quality Control
\t•\tMonitor installation quality and reduce snagging issues
\t•\tSign off completed installations
\t•\tEnsure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations

About You
We are looking for someone who can take ownership, make decisions, and operate independently.
Essential:
\t•\tStrong technical knowledge of solar PV systems and battery storage
\t•\tElectrical background (Approved electrician prefferred)
\t•\tExperience with G98/G99 applications and DNO processes
\t•\tProven experience managing installations or projects
\t•\tAbility to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Desirable:
\t•\tExperience using OpenSolar
\t•\tPrevious experience in a fast-growing solar or construction environment
\t•\tKnowledge of premium systems (Sigenergy, Tesla)
