Veritas Education are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in Kirklees to recruit a passionate and committed Art & Design Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative practitioner to join a supportive department and inspire students through high-quality teaching and engaging curriculum delivery.
The Role
Teaching Art & Design across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
Encouraging creativity, experimentation and independent thinking in students
Maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Collaborating with departmental staff and contributing to wider school lifeThis is a part-time position (4 days per week) commencing Monday 1st June 2026 and running through to the end of the academic year.
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Has recent experience teaching Art & Design in a UK secondary school setting
Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for the arts
Has excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate learners of varying abilities
Is reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenEarly Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners are both encouraged to apply.
