Production Supervisor - Food Manufacturing
Vickerstock is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit a Production Supervisor for their Newry-based facility.
This role offers the chance to become an integral part of a respected manufacturing business on an upward trajectory. You'll be at the heart of operations, collaborating directly with management and production teams to keep day-to-day manufacturing running smoothly in a high-energy environment.

Your day to day
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will support the smooth running of day-to-day production operations. You will supervise production teams on shift, ensuring targets around output, quality, efficiency, and safety are met.
3. Supervising and supporting production teams, ensuring clear communication and effective shift handovers.
4. Monitoring performance against key KPIs including productivity, yield, waste, and quality.
5. Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health & safety, food safety, and quality standards.
6. Liaising with technical, engineering, and planning teams to help maintain efficient factory operations.
7. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and highlighting opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Your essential ingredients
We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor with experience in food manufacturing, ideally within meat or chilled food environments.
8. Experience in a supervisory or team-lead role within a manufacturing or factory setting.
9. A good working knowledge of production KPIs and continuous improvement practices.
10. An understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP).
11. Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to motivate and support teams.
12. A flexible, practical approach with good problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
