We’re dedicated to protecting the environment and enhancing the communities we serve. We are looking a HGV Driver to join our team as a Waste Incident Responder (Tanker Driver).
Working within the Derbyshire region of Severn Trent predominantly from our Raynesway depot but occasionally you may be required to travel further within the Severn Trent region.
In this role, you’ll drive vacuum tankers to collect and deliver liquid biosolids and other waste products within the Severn Trent network.
This role is our equivalent to our own emergency services for waste water.
Or a blockage, flooding, or pollution within the network, across the Severn Trent Water area you’ll be one of the first people to respond and help get things back to normal quickly and safely working alongside other operational teams to stop a pollution or flooding from reaching a water course.
With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working across a range of shift patterns including evenings weekends & bank holidays, including Christmas period (depending on shifts).
Shifts follow a 4 on / 4 off pattern, with shifts running from 05:00–16:00, 13:00–00:00, and 21:00–08:00 on a 4 weekly rotation.
Complete daily work instructions from the Planning Office or Line Manager.
Use STW IT systems for tanker load information, safety systems, e-learning, and working hours entry. (Can be expected to work alone or as part of a team

Salary of £35,349.66 plus shift and weekend working allowances (Total earnings circa 44k)
