Brand new opportunity to the market to join our Glasgow-based Fintech client, specialising in managed Cloud provision. The business is now recruiting for a seasoned Senior Systems Engineer, as they continue to grow their tech team from their state-of-the-art tech hub.
This is a key hire, joining the fast-paced Systems Engineering team, with candidates required to possess extensive expertise across Linux administration and automation. You will be proactive in nature and embrace an automation-first approach, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.
You will play a key role in maintaining and automating infrastructure and service delivery, ensuring high availability, security and scalability. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to system improvements, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Experience (A blend of):
-Extensive Linux Systems administration experience
-Proven experience in Automation and Config management (Ansible, Packer, Terraform)
-Scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
-Knowledge of networking
-Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
-Proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion.
Desirable:
-Windows administration
-DevOps/Cloud knowledge
-Exposure to CI/CD tooling (BitBucket, Jenkins).
-Experience working with monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
The role is paying circa £60k and offers hybrid working.
