**Job Summary**
The Specialist Children's Short Breaks Service is a six-bed service providing overnight short breaks for children and young people aged 4 to 19 years old with severe learning disabilities and other complex needs such as complex health issues, physical disabilities, and behaviours that challenge.
We are seeking a talented and experienced individual to lead and manage the Short Breaks Unit. You should be willing to undertake the role of registered manager in line with OFSTED requirements and have experience working within learning disabilities as a registered Band 6 LD nurse.
The team consists of registered learning disability nurses and Healthcare Support Workers, all with great knowledge, training, and experience.
As part of the interview process, you will be required to satisfy OFSTED requirements as a fit and appropriate person for a children's home and either hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 diploma in leadership and management in residential childcare.

Main duties of the job
* Hold the position of OFSTED and CQC Registered Manager for the 6-bed service.
* Coordinate, lead, and support the staff team to deliver high-quality short breaks for children and young people with severe learning disabilities and complex health needs, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and legislation.
* Manage service resources, including budget and staffing, to maximize quality of care.
* Collaborate with other providers, commissioners, and stakeholders to develop and maintain high standards of care.
