Carmel College is seeking a creative and results-driven Digital Marketing Content Creator to join our dynamic Admissions, Marketing and School Liaison Team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing engaging digital marketing campaigns and creating high-quality content across multiple platforms.
Your efforts will help to elevate Carmel College’s online presence, attract prospective students, and engage with current students, parents, and the wider community.
The Person Appointed Would Be Expected To
* Digital Content Creation: Plan, produce, and edit high-quality, organic content (photography, videography, reels, carousels, stories, etc.). Following creative and strategic direction from the Head of Marketing, you will identify opportunities to engage with our audiences and bring the college’s brand to life online.
* Content Inventory: Collate and maintain a catalogue of digital marketing assets including videos, photos, news articles and blog posts to be used across a range of platforms throughout the academic year.
* Social Media Management: Manage and grow the college’s social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X (Twitter), working independently to schedule and monitor student-focused content using tools like Hootsuite.
* Social Listening: Monitor online conversations and trends across various social media platforms to gain insights into brand perception, audience sentiment, competitor activity and industry trends.
* Video Production: Storyboard, capture and edit short-form video content to support campaigns, highlight school events, and tell compelling stories about college life.
* Website Management: Assist with updates to the college website, ensuring content is accurate, visually engaging, and optimised for user experience (CMS training provided).
* Copywriting and PR: Write engaging copy for a range of platforms; including web, social media, newsletters, brochures, and press releases, ensuring alignment with brand tone and messaging.
* Event Marketing: Attend and support admissions and school liaison events, capturing content for digital channels and contributing to the pre-event promotion and coverage.
* Analytics and Reporting: Track, measure, and report on the performance of social media platforms including competitor comparisons, providing recommendations for growth and improvements.
* Collaboration: Liaise with staff and students across college on a regular basis to generate content and promote curriculum areas. You will also work closely with the Admissions, Marketing and School Liaison teams to ensure marketing efforts are aligned with the college’s overall goals and objectives.
* Brand Consistency: Ensure all content created aligns with Carmel College’s brand guidelines, tone of voice, and overall marketing strategy.
* Data Protection: Comply with GDPR legislation and the college’s Data Privacy Policy.
Additional Duties
* Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in digital marketing, content creation, and social media to keep the college ahead of the curve.
* Work flexibly when required including some evenings and outside of term time, for example, to support events such as Open Evenings, Interview Evenings, Results Day and Enrolment Day.
* Attend meetings when required that are relevant to the role.
* Support the Admissions, Marketing and School Liaison teams with ad-hoc tasks and other promotional activities as required.
Other
* To attend meetings and complete mandatory training in accordance with the colleges meeting/training schedule.
* Each member of the College will take reasonable care for the health and safety of himself/herself and persons who may be affected by his/her omissions at work.
* To undertake any other duties as may be assigned commensurate with the grade and overall responsibility level of the post and as changing circumstances may require.
Salary and Contract Information
Point 6 to 8 - £24,575 to £25,331 per annum (payable £16,181.69 to £16,679.49 per annum depending on experience)
This role is 28.8 hours per week (over 4 days) and is term time only plus 1 additional week.
