Citadel Source is delighted to be partnered with Bailey of Bristol on a newly formed Group FC role, reporting directly into the Group CFO and implementing effective financial controls and efficiencies across the business.

Bailey of Bristol is the UK’s longest established independent leisure vehicle manufacturer with over 75 years’ experience in caravan, motorhome and campervan production and design. During this period, their family-owned business has grown to become the Nation’s Favourite brand with more of their vehicles on the road than any other.
The Role
Based on site in Bristol, the Group FC will be responsible for producing regular management and financial/statutory accounts at both a subsidiary and group level, helping to create a cohesive finance team across the group and introducing new processes and ways of working (including examining the use of artificial intelligence, process automation or other efficiency tools).
About you
This opportunity will suit a proactive, qualified accountant with several years post-qualified experience in similar hands-on technical accounting roles. You will have worked in a growing business in the manufacturing and/or retail/consumer trading sectors and be confident managing financial change.
As a Group FC your role will include but not be limited to:
* Own financial control and reporting across the Group;
* Oversee and meet all financial reporting deadlines as required;
* Develop and produce a regular management information pack (daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly) including cash-flow statements and management accounts;
* Oversee account reconciliation and ensure accurate financial data is produced effectively and on time;
* Own overall cash management of the Group;
* Oversee company credit control and invoicing processes;
* Lead a small finance team and work in a matrix finance structure;
* Prepare the Group Financial Statements;
* Manage the external audit process – from choosing auditors, maintaining the relationship and supporting the annual audit;
* Manage the group insurance process – working with brokers and insurers;
* Assist the Group CFO in maintaining key banking and supplier relationships;
* Assist the Group CFO on financial strategy and capital raising plans to build organisational sustainability;
* Liaise with the company regulatory authorities on VAT, tax and any other compliance related bodies.
