Role Description
The Electrical Works Officer (Band 6) will oversee and ensure the safe operation, maintenance, and compliance of all electrical systems across the hospital facilities. Primary responsibilities include managing maintenance schedules for electrical systems, overseeing repairs and installations, conducting inspections, ensuring safety regulations are met, and maintaining accurate documentation. The officer will also liaise with contractors, support junior team members, and provide training where needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based at St Peter's Hospital in Chertsey, Surrey.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Electricity, Electrical Wiring, and Electrical Engineering is required.
* Experience and knowledge in Instrumentation and its application to maintain operational efficiency are necessary.
* Capability and prior experience in Training entry-level technicians or staff are beneficial.
* Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
* Relevant certifications or qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* Familiarity with health and safety standards and regulations relevant to hospital environments is an advantage.
