Role overview: Technical Trainer Field Based Field Based (UK) Permanent Full Time Grade 3 Hours - 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary - £34,000 - £36,000 per annum depending on experience plus Company Car/ Fuel Card At Currys we’re united by one passion: to help everyone enjoy amazing technology. As a Technical Trainer, you’ll be at the heart of our busy home delivery which covers the whole of the UK and has five technical training academies based at Bristol, Bolton, Newark, Tilbury and mini academy in Glasgow, delivering enthusiastic, hands-on training to new and existing teams. With a significant amount of training delivered from our Glasgow academy, we are particularly keen to hear from applicants based in or around Glasgow or the North of the UK, who can cover this location while still supporting our other sites when required. That said, we welcome applications from across the country. You’ll welcome our new starters and train our existing colleagues - giving them the knowledge, skills, and behaviours they need to deliver, install large domestic appliances in our customers homes and help our customers enjoy amazing technology, you’ll be flexible in your approach and work with other field trainers to deliver learning solutions such as Driver CPC, manual handling and first aid. Role overview: As part of this role, you'll be responsible for: Delivery of our core induction, compliance and technical training for new colleagues starting their journey within our home delivery and in-home repairs network Delivery of ongoing training on the installation, service and repair of large domestic appliances and supporting services, motivating colleagues to share amazing technology with our customers Working with the training manager to scope training needs, design and deliver training solutions, review and continuously improve training across the operations aligned to our key business priorities Liaising with our sites and management teams to plan, organise and co-ordinate training sessions to support the operation on an ongoing basis Supporting other training solutions within the training area You will need: Experience working in a technical field (e.g.Electric installations, delivery and Installation of domestic appliances) Excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver training Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage with colleagues in a coaching/training environment Computer literacy skills with experience using MS Office packages, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Flexible approach and ability to manage own workload A full valid UK driving licence A training qualification/certification or willing to work towards would be desirable We know our people are the secret to our success.
