Pay & Hours
Shift Leader rate starts from £14.76 an hour; increases to £15.97 inside the M25.
We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours weekly, with flexible options down to 12 hours.
Availability windows are scheduled within these times. We support flexibility for those who are close to the advertised times.

As Shift Leader you oversee the store from floor to floor, striving to improve service for customers, colleagues and communities every day.
Responsibilities
* Work in a fast‑paced retail environment with variety
* Own running duty shifts and coordinate the team for a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds expectations
* Listen to customers and ensure the store delivers what they need
* Seek ways to improve service by coaching and giving feedback
* Guide and support colleagues to maintain a safe working and shopping environment
* Understand store performance and assist managers in actions that improve operations
* Lead from the front and set a great example in everything you do

Requirements
* Coordinate the store team for an easy, fuss‑free shopping experience
* Support colleagues, ensuring daily priorities and regular breaks
* Open and close the store, completing duty cover with right safety decisions
* Go‑to person for colleagues in absence of a manager for day‑to‑day queries
* Keep the store clean, tidy and well‑presented
* Support managers with seasonal, community and charity events
* Contribute to a great team atmosphere, inclusive of everyone
* Provide great customer service by listening to customers and putting them first
* Keep the team well‑informed on communications, changes, or updates
* Stay knowledgeable about store performance and simplify operations
* Coordinate store improvements and remove obstacles blocking service
* Follow health and safety routines and procedures, ensuring all do the same
* Recognise and celebrate colleagues within the team for great service

Age & work restrictions
We only recruit individuals who have passed the school leavers age. Candidates over 18 may work before 6:15 am, after 9:45 pm or in warehouse, beer, wine, counter, bakery or driving roles.
