About The Role

As a Commercial Manager, you will provide effective commercial management and governance of SEA projects, bids, and all commercial offerings, working with Divisional Management, Bid and Project Managers.
The Commercial Manager (Intelligent Transport Systems) will be based at our Bristol site. This role allows for flexible working.
The salary for this role is up to £60k, depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing
* Act as the primary contact with Customers and Subcontractors for all commercial matters related to contracts and bids.
* Provide independent oversight to ensure the business secures agreements that minimize risk, maximize profit and cashflow, and comply with standards and legislation.
* Negotiate and agree Customer Contracts and other commercial documents.
* Draft, negotiate, and agree sub-contracts and procurement agreements.
* Manage commercial aspects of sub-contractors.
* Consult external advisory bodies on commercial best practices.
* Negotiate Collaboration Agreements (NDAs, Teaming Agreements, IP Licences).

The skills you need
* Experience in Local Government procurement in restricted environments.
* Transport/rail environment experience.
* Knowledge of Crown Commercial Frameworks.
* Experience working within the Public Sector.
* Expertise in contracting methods and T&Cs.
* Knowledge of pricing, contractual documentation, and bid negotiations.
* Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
* Previous line management experience.
