Role Description

IT Junior Support Assistant - Make a difference

Location:

Leatherhead and Across all homes spanning Oxfordshire, Devon, Kent & East Sussex

Salary:

£24,000- £25,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus SeeAbility benefits

Hour:

Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Interim for 12 months

Driving Required:

Driving own vehicle is essential- Travel expenses (in line with company policy)

Your Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior IT Support Assistant to provide professional, consultative and pro-active support to central office staff and staff in our remote Services. Whilst ensuring best practice and fit to organisational goals and values. The key to our on-going success and plans for future growth is ensuring that we have the right people in place at the right time to drive our organisational objectives. SeeAbility provides extraordinary support and champions better eye care for people with learning disabilities and autism, many of whom have sight loss. Your Responsibilities

1. Provide IT assistance to staff in the central office and remote sites
2. Manage and maintain inventory of company assets (laptops, desktops, mobiles, tablets)
3. Administer and support our MDM solution (Microsoft Intune)
4. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with our IT support provider
5. Configure and deploy Teams Telephony hardware
6. Support AV and IT equipment in the central office
7. Assist users with Microsoft applications queries
8. Run and report on phishing simulations
9. Participate in planned projects for system upgrades and replacements
10. Ensure timely resolution of problems and maintain excellent customer service
11. Occasional travel and overnight stays to other sites

Skills and Experience

12. Knowledge of computer hardware, software, security, and networking
13. Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
14. Familiarity with routers and wireless networks
15. Knowledge of Microsoft Intune and Android (desirable)
16. Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff
17. Strong time management and ability to work independently
18. Full, clean driving license and own transport

Education

19. Minimum 5 GCSEs (A–C) including Maths & English (essential)
20. A Levels/BTEC or relevant IT qualifications (desirable)
