Job Overview
As part of the Children's Community Nursing Team, the post holder will provide care and support to children in their homes or school who have complex health care needs including life limiting/life threatening conditions.
Responsibilities
* Provide hands‑on nursing care to children with complex health care needs in the community setting, either at home or school.
* Carry out designated work, much of which will involve direct patient care delegated by trained staff.
* Work under indirect supervision of trained staff or as a lone worker.
* Shift patterns may involve a mixture of days, nights and weekends, including unsociable hours.
* Provide care following training and assessment of competence in various nursing skills.
Qualifications
* Compassionate, caring, dedicated and flexible in approach.
* Ability to work on own initiative and within a small team.
* Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
* Competence in nursing skills assessed through training.
