We are seeking
an experienced Operational Lead who will work closely with our lead investigators to develop and oversee our growing portfolio of studies. You will join a rapidly expanding multidisciplinary team of clinicians, statisticians, and bioengineers undertaking research reducing the incidence, impact and cost of critical illness. We harness the skills of scientists and multidisciplinary clinicians to produce answers and solutions that are driven into practice through publication and guidance, and through working with key implementation organisations including NHS England and industry. In this challenging role you will assist the Chief Investigators in the day to day running of the projects run by the group. You will work closely with the Group Administrator and project teams, including research assistants, post-doctoral researchers, statisticians, study midwives, nurses and physiotherapist, patient and public contributors and the wider project team to ensure the successful administration of the programme and the surveillance systems. You will act as the ‘first point of contact’ and will ensure effective communication and liaison with all collaborating organisations and individuals to ensure the smooth running of the group and assist the Chief Investigators in coordinating and managing budgets and resources. You will assist the Chief Investigators with producing study progress reports for relevant bodies and individuals. The post is based in the Critical Care Research Group, within the Kadoorie Institute of Trauma, Emergency and Critical Care, University of Oxford.
