Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver engaging Drama Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering performance, script analysis, and theatre history.
* Prepare students effectively for GCSE Drama examinations and practical performances.
* Cultivate a supportive and collaborative environment where students can explore their dramatic talents.
* Assess and monitor student progress in drama, providing constructive and encouraging feedback as a Drama Teacher.
* Contribute to the organisation of extracurricular drama clubs and school productions.
* Encourage an appreciation for a diverse range of dramatic styles and theatrical traditions.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Drama or Performing Arts.
* Demonstrated experience in teaching Drama at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
* Strong knowledge of dramatic literature, performance techniques, and theatre history.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and directorial skills, capable of inspiring students as a Drama Teacher.
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse dramatic abilities and interests of students.
* A commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the performing arts department.
