HR Generalist (Maternity Cover – Part Time)
Location: Oxford / Oxfordshire
Contract: Fixed-term maternity cover
Working pattern: Part-time, 3 days per week

About the Role
Here at Passle, we are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Generalist to join us on a part-time basis to cover a period of maternity leave. This role will play a key part in supporting the business across the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on recruitment, day-to-day HR operations, and partnering closely with our business Team Leads to provide practical, people-focused HR support.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys balancing operational HR delivery with trusted advisory work in a growing, fast-paced tech environment. This role supports both our UK and US workforce.

Key Responsibilities of the role:
Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage end-to-end recruitment process, from role briefing through to offer and onboarding
Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, advise on hiring approaches, and ensure a smooth & enjoyable candidate experience
Coordinate interviews, offers, contracts, and onboarding processes
HR Operations
Own day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth and compliant people processes
Manage employee lifecycle activities including contracts, changes, leavers, and documentation
Maintain accurate employee records and multiple HR systems ( including EORs)
Work closely with our Accounts team to support monthly payroll processes & amendments
Ensure HR policies and processes are followed consistently, including keeping track with UK & US/State Employment Law changes and making necessary adjustments & updates where needed
Business Partnering & Employee Support
Act as a trusted HR partner to team leads, providing guidance on all people-related matters
Support managers with performance management, employee relations matters, absence management, and development conversations
Advise on HR best practice and employment legislation, escalating complex issues where appropriate
General HR & Projects
Support the delivery of HR initiatives and projects as required
Contribute to improving HR processes and employee experience
Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture
Key Requirements
Proven experience in a HR Generalist role, ideally within a growing or fast-paced organisation
Experience managing recruitment processes end-to-end
Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
Some experience supporting US employees or working with US HR processes and employment laws
Experience partnering with managers and team leads to provide practical HR advice
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Confident communicator with a collaborative, approachable style
Comfortable working independently in a part-time role

2nd Stage - 45 minute interview with Co-Founder & HR
3rd Stage - In person interview at our Oxford office & chance for a meet & greet with members of the wider company
